EASY POHA BREAKFAST RECIPE




Poha is a very
simple, easy, healthy, and delicious recipe for breakfast and also for kid’s
lunch boxes.

Try this yummy
recipe and enjoy it.

Ingredients:

       
Flattened
Rice (Poha) – 1 cup

       
Onion
(finely chopped) – 2

       
Curry
leaves

       
Turmeric
powder – 1 tsp

       
Coriander
powder – 1 ½ tsp

       
Mustard
seeds – 1 tsp

       
Chaat
masala – 1 tbsp

       
Sugar – 1
tsp (optional)

       
Salt –
according to taste

       
Coriander
leaves (finely chopped)

       
Boiled
green peas- ½ cup

       
Peanuts – ½
cup

       
Boiled
potato (finely chopped) – ½ cup

       
Namkeen – ½
cup

       
Sev – ½ cup

       
Lemon – 1

       
Asafoetida
– 2 pinches

       
Oil – 2
tbsp

Method:

       
Wash 1 cup
of Poha in a strainer and set it aside.

       
Heat 2 tbsp
oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, and let it crackle. Then, add asafoetida,
curry leaves, onion and sauté it. Add peanuts to it and roast it well for about
5 minutes.

*To save time you
can use roasted peanuts.

       
Add
turmeric powder, coriander powder and sauté it well on medium heat. Then add
boiled peas, boiled potatoes and roast it well for about 2 minutes.

*You can add
finely chopped green chillies as well.

       
Sprinkle
some water on the Poha so it doesn’t get too dry. Then add this Poha to the pan
and add chaat masala, salt, sugar, and mix it well.

       
Now add
Sev, Namkeen, coriander leaves, lemon juice and mix it well.

Poha is ready.
Garnish it with Sev, Namkeen, lemon juice, coriander leaves, onion and serve it
with green chutney or tomato sauce.

Pro tip: Add 2 tbsp of
milk to the Poha and cover it up so it stays fresh and soft for a long time.
