HOLI SPECIAL THANDAI RECIPE

Thandai, Kesar Thandai, Paan Thandai




Holi Hai! And to celebrate this
colourful festival we are making these refreshing and easy to make Thandai!

Ingredients:

For Instant Thandai Mixture:

       
Pistachios- 10-15

       
Almonds – 10-15

       
Cashews -10-15

       
Cardamom – 8-10

       
Cinnamon stick – 1

       
Fennel seeds – 1 tbsp

       
Poppy seeds
(Khus–khus) – 1 tbsp

       
Black pepper – 8- 10

       
Melon seeds – 1 tbsp

       
Fresh Rose Petals

       
Saffron strands –
10-15

       
Yellow food colour – 1
pinch

       
Water – ½ cup

For Kesar Thandai:

       
Cold milk – 1 cup

       
Instant thandai
mixture – 2 tbsp

       
Sugar – 2 tbsp

For Rose Thandai:

       
Cold milk – 1 cup

       
Rose syrup – 2 tbsp

       
Pink food colour – 1
pinch

       
Instant thandai
mixture – 2 tbsp

       
Sugar – 1 tbsp

For Paan Thandai:

       
Cold milk – 1 cup

       
Instant thandai
mixture – 2 tbsp

       
Sugar – 2 tbsp

       
Gulkand – 1 tbsp

       
Betel Leaf (Paan leaf)
– 3

       
Green food colour – 1
pinch

 

Method:

To make an Instant Thandai
Mixture:

       
Take a bowl, add 10-
15 pistachios, 10 – 15 almonds, 10-15 Cashews, 8-10 cardamom, 1 cinnamon stick,
1 tbsp fennel seeds, 1 tbsp poppy seeds, 8-10 black pepper, 1 tbsp melon seeds,
fresh rose petals, 10-15 saffron strands, 1 pinch yellow food colour, ½ cup
water and mix it well.

       
Cover it up and rest
it for 4 hours.

       
After 4 hours, the
mixture will be well soaked.

       
Now, blend the mixture
into a smooth paste and transfer it into a bowl.

       
The instant Thandai
mixture is ready.

To make Kesar Thandai:

       
Take a blender, add 1
cup cold milk, 2 tbsp instant thandai mixture, 2 tbsp of sugar and blend it
well.

       
Kesar Thandai is
ready. Serve in a tall glass and
garnish it
with saffron strands.

To make Rose Thandai:

       
Take a blender, add 1
cup cold milk, 2 tbsp rose syrup, 1 pinch pink food colour, 2 tbsp instant
thandai mixture, 1 tbsp of sugar and blend it well.

       
Rose Thandai is ready.
Serve it in a tall glass and garnish it with
rose syrup and chopped almonds.

To make Paan Thandai:

       
Take a blender, add 1
cup cold milk, 2 tbsp instant thandai mixture, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp
Gulkand,3 betel leaf (tear them into small pieces), green food colour and blend
it well.

       
Paan Thandai is ready.
Serve it in a tall glass and garnish it with chopped almonds.
